On December 15 2020, Williams Racing issued a statement regarding Sir Frank Williams health status.
“Sir Frank Williams has recently been admitted to a hospital where he is currently in a stable condition. Frank’s medical condition is a private matter and therefore the family will not be releasing any further details at this time. We ask for you to respect the family’s privacy. The team will release a further update in due course. Thank you.”
His medical status remained private. On the bright side, Williams Racing issued another statement on December 24th stating that “We’re delighted to say that Sir Frank has been discharged from hospital and is now on the mend at home”. Thankfully, his medical condition got better and he is now recovering at home according to the Williams family.
It’s worth noting that Sir Frank is 78 years old. He founded the Williams Racing team back in 1977 along with his partner Sir Patrick Head. The team went on to win 7 driver’s F1 championship and 9 constructors F1 championships. Sir Frank stepped out of management at the end of 2012 and his daughter Claire took over as F1 Deputy Team Principal; she remained in her position until mid 2020 when the family decided to sell the team to an investment group.
We are grateful that Sir Frank Williams Health status is getting better and he is improving. We wish him a full and speedy recovery.
